Dr. Vinodkumar Patil

Dr. Vinodkumar Patil

Founder, Scientist & Visionary Behind SV Biotech

Dr. Vinodkumar Patil is the founder and guiding force behind SV Biotech Pvt. Ltd., bringing over 25 years of scientific and industrial experience in microbial biotechnology, fermentation technology, and bioprocess engineering. A trained microbiologist with a doctorate in biotechnology, he has worked extensively across research, scale-up, validation, and commercial execution of biological production systems.

His career includes senior leadership roles in R&D, international biotechnology projects, and vaccine manufacturing, with hands-on experience in antibiotics, therapeutic proteins, cell culture systems, agri-biotechnology, alcohol fermentation, and food processing. He has led and executed multiple biotechnology projects in India and overseas, combining scientific expertise with real-world industrial application.

Dr. Patil is also the founder of Dyna Biotech, a bioprocess engineering company in India specialising in fermenters, bioreactors, automation, instrumentation, and validation systems for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Under his leadership, Dyna Biotech has delivered large-scale fermentation and bioprocess facilities, enabling end-to-end execution from process development to plant-level implementation.

At SV Biotech, he has personally led the development of microbial formulations, fermentation processes, and liquid biofertilizers under the SVGOLD® biofertilizer range, positioning the company as a reliable biofertilizer manufacturer in India. His work focuses on soil biology, nutrient efficiency, and sustainable agriculture, while applying industrial fermentation principles to scalable agricultural solutions. He has also developed patented technology for bioethanol and non-conventional fermentation technologies for probiotics, nutraceuticals and biological solutions.

Known for his integrity, resilience, and long-term vision, Dr. Patil continues to mentor scientific teams and guide SV Biotech’s growth as a science-led biotechnology company working across agriculture, fermentation, and biological production systems.

Our Facility

Where Science Meets Responsible Manufacturing

SV Biotech operates a dedicated microbial and fermentation manufacturing facility in India, designed to support controlled biological processes with consistency, quality, and regulatory discipline. The facility is structured around process capability rather than single-product output, enabling it to support agricultural biofertilizers as well as broader microbial and fermentation-based biotechnology operations.

Designed with scalability in mind, the facility is also ready to support contract manufacturing and white-label biofertilizer production, allowing partners to scale compliant and reliable biological products through controlled production systems.

For agriculture, the facility includes dedicated production areas for liquid microbial biofertilizers, operating in compliance with Fertiliser Control Order (FCO) regulations. Manufacturing is supported by controlled fermentation systems that enable high-CFU batch production under strict purity standards, with a production capacity of up to 20 KL per batch.

Quality assurance for agricultural products includes in-process testing, batch-level documentation, hygienic and traceable packaging workflows, and controlled storage practices to ensure shelf-life stability, regulatory compliance, and consistent field performance.

Biotech Fermentation
Biotechnology & Fermentation-Based Products

Beyond agriculture, the facility supports biotechnology and industrial fermentation processes, with infrastructure designed for controlled biological conversion and process scalability. This includes a dedicated fermentor and patented fermentation technology for bioethanol, with a fermentation capacity of up to 10 KL, reflecting SV Biotech’s capabilities in renewable bio-based production pathways.

These operations are governed by stringent sterility controls, process monitoring, and documentation frameworks that support reproducibility, optimisation, and scale-up. The facility’s adaptable design allows expansion into other microbial and fermentation-based biotechnology applications as capabilities evolve.

Dyna Biotech & SV Biotech

SV Biotech Pvt. Ltd. is part of a broader biotechnology ecosystem anchored by Dyna Biotech, a bioprocess engineering company providing the engineering backbone that supports scale-up and execution. This integration brings together microbial science, fermentation expertise, and industrial bioprocess engineering under one ecosystem.

The combined strength of biology and engineering allows microbial innovations developed at SV Biotech to be translated into controlled, scalable, and production-ready systems. Through access to fermentation equipment design, bioreactors, CIP/SIP skids, automation, and plant utilities, we are able to bridge the gap between laboratory development and commercial manufacturing.

This group-level capability enables us to support end-to-end and turnkey biotechnology projects—from microbial and process development to equipment design, installation, and commissioning. It also strengthens our ability to deliver reliable solutions across agricultural biotechnology, probiotics, bioethanol, and other fermentation-based production pathways.
